Gaborik Injured at Practice

Update, 1:30 p.m.:
Gross at Ranger Rants has more from Schoenfeld...

“Right now, that’s all we think it is,” said Schoenfeld. “It’s not like it’s a twist to the groin or the knee, it’s just a laceration.”

...looks like we dodged a huge bullet Ranger fans.

Update, 12:40 p.m.:
Cerny has this quote from Schoenfeld...

"I don't want to say it's ONLY a laceration, but that's what it is, a laceration"

...not out of the woods yet.

Update, 12:34 p.m.:
Zipay & Gross report that Jim Schoenfeld is saying Gaborik's right knee is being stitched up at the practice facility, not hospital, for a laceration. No other damage being report.

No word on his status for tomorrow's game.

...big exhale Ranger fans.

Update, 12:25 p.m.:
Zipay adds that a Rangers spokesman said that Gaborik will not be speaking today.

...not sure what to think about that news. If Gaborik's injury isn't that serious, you have to think the Rangers may ask him to sit out of the Olympics. Which may not be the worst thing for the Rangers.

Update, 12:14 p.m.:

Zipay has this from Lunqvist on the injury...

"My skate hit his (Gaborik's) knee."

Beat writers thought Gaborik was joking at first. Gaborik is still in trainer's room.

Original Post:
Steve Zipay (Twitter), Andrew Gross and Jim Cerny (Twitter) are reporting that Marian Gaborik injured his right leg at practice today jumping over Lundqvist during a breakaway drill.

...not good. I'll get you more information as it comes in.

Jobs message for the Rangers. And if he´s out the Slovaks even don´t need to play :-).

What about Avery Voros and Prust playing 1st line and fighting the opponents 1st line to death?
