Canadiens 3, Rangers 1

The New York Rangers (31-30-9) lost to the Montreal Canadiens (36-29-6) by the score of 3-1, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports and newyorkrangers.com.

...what a disappointment. What happened to the desperation? Where's the urgency? The Rangers had absolutely no forecheck and a ton of turnovers. You can't expect to win big games down the stretch with an effort like that.

...that game wouldn't even have been as close as it was if it weren't for Lundqvist. Big save after big save for 'The King.'

...a power play goal would have helped (o-5). Heck, a power play shot (just two) would have been nice.

...nice to see Avery follow-up Sunday's effort with another strong one. One goal, four shots on goal and 17 minutes in penalties.

...i see Torts reunited Christensen with Gaborik and Prospal late. Now I just need him to replace Prospal with Dubinsky and I'll be happy.

...bad news across the league for the Rangers as Boston, Montreal and Atlanta won while the Flyers picked up a point in an SO loss to Nashville.

...Rangers step out of the Conference as JD and the Blues visit MSG on Thursday.

when was the last time the Rangers won more than 2 consecutive games in a row?

next 8 games are all against teams fighting for a playoff spot. we need to dig deep and play like every game is the last one of the season.
