Disappointing Turnout for Fire Sather Rally

According to numerous sources (here, here and here), the crowd at yesterday's Fire Sather rally ranged from 100 to 200 people.

With over 1,200 disgruntled Ranger fans accepting the Facebook invitation to the event, yesterday's attendance was quite disappointing.

To listen to a replay of the rally visit Blueshirt Banter.

Michael Obenauer at the Blueshirts Blog has a nice recap.

...despite the low turnout, you've got to give the organizers credit for all the media attention the rally received. Doubt it will have any affect, which the organizers agreed with, but hopefully the Dolans got the message that fans are not happy with Sather.

Fakebook for the loss. Really proves how many keyboard warriors there are out there.

Jack -- you are correct. I know people that have concerts or events in, for example, NYC, and people from all over the country and the world will report that they are attending.

I think they are being polite (so trained to hit the "like" button) but it really skews the numbers.
