Newyorkrangers.com reports that Ryan Callahan is among this week's three finalists to enter a group that will be considered for the Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award.His competition this week (Week 5) includes New Jersey Devils captain Jamie Langenbrunner and Colorado Avalanche captain Adam Foote. Voting runs from now until April 4.
The Week 5 winner will join Buffalo's Ryan Miller, Detroit's Nicklas Lidstrom, Philadelphia's Mike Richards and Washington's Alex Ovechkin as finalists for this year's award.
Messier will select the award's winner at the conclusion of the regular season.
