After losing 5-1 to the Flyers on Sunday, the Devils were again no help to the Rangers last night as they lost 1-0 in OT to the 8th place Bruins (82 pts.).
In other bad news, the 9th place Thrashers (80 pts.) defeated the Maple Leafs 3-2.
With the Flyers (6th - 82 pts.) and Canadiens (7th - 82 pts.) idle last night along with the Rangers (78 pts.) win, the Blueshirts are actually just four points out of sixth place. See full standings here.
...i honesty think the Devils are losing these games on purpose just to keep the Rangers out of the playoffs.

nah..they are fighting for the Atlantic crown with the Pens..if that was out of reach for them, then yeah, I could see that.
