Three prospects in NCAA Frozen Four

Newyorkrangers.com reports Rangers prospects Derek Stepan (U. of Wisconsin), Ryan McDonagh (U. of Wisconsin) and Chris Kreider (B.C.) will participate in the 2010 NCAA Frozen Four beginning tomorrow, April 8, at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.

Stepan, 19, has registered 10 goals and 40 assists for 50 points, along with eight penalty minutes and a plus-five rating in 39 games with the University of Wisconsin Badgers of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) this season. Stepan has tallied two assists in two NCAA tournament contests thus far.

McDonagh, 20, has registered four goals and 13 assists for 17 points, along with 69 penalty minutes and a plus-22 rating in 41 games with the University of Wisconsin Badgers (WCHA) this season. McDonagh has tallied one assist in two NCAA tournament contests thus far.

Kreider, 18, has recorded 14 goals and seven assists for 21 points, along with 26 penalty minutes and a plus-19 rating in 36 games with the Boston College Eagles of the Hockey East (HE) conference this season.

The one I'm the most excited about is Mcdonough. Everything I read about him sound like he will hopefully fit in nicely with the Blushirts just as Rozivals contract runs out. Add that to a fully matured Stall & Del Zotto & I can hardly wait!
