Rangers Have Not Talked to Jokinen About Return

Pierre LeBrun at ESPN reports that Olli Jokinen appears to be headed to market and not staying with the Rangers...

"They have not talked to us. I do not expect them to at this point," said Jokinen's agent, Mark Gandler, to ESPN.com. "I thought he played well in New York. I think he has a lot of value in the league. I think a lot of teams could use him. He has a few good years ahead of him. He's healthy, he's got skill and ability."

Jokinen is not considering a move to the KHL.

...Jokinen served his purpose on the Rangers as a way to alleviate cap space (and bring in Prust), so unless the Rangers can get him real cheap I'm happy to see them moving on.

He's got skill and ability? too bad it doesn't translate into production. See ya

are you kidding?

i wouldnt even want him back cheap. his reputation is based on being a locker room cancer. add that to no production and i say a resounding NO.
