Pashnin to Stay in KHL

Dmitry Chesnokov of Puck Daddy tweets...

#NYR prospect Mikhail Pashnin won't come to North America next season; will play in the KHL.less than a minute ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

...Pashnin is a player the Rangers took a chance on hoping he'd eventually come over to North America. Right now it's fine that he's going to stay over there and fine tune his game, but let's hope in the next few years he gets the NHL itch.

Oh well. Honestly I'm most hyped bout MZA.

I saw this kid play during the rookie camp in Greenburgh earlier this summer & he looks like he could be the real deal molded in the Sergei Zubov style he's a smooth skating puck handler just like Zubov was in his youth.

He stated pretty clearly at the development camp that he was under contract with the KHL this season but that he wanted to play for the Rangers next year. This is win/win since the Rangers don't have a spot right now & he doesn't speak a word of English.

I thought he was signed for two years in the KHL, with their club giving up their first three top picks in the draft(of a four round draft) just to get to the #1 draft position in order to draft him.
Nemchinov speaks very highly of him it was a good steal for a #200 7th round pick for us. Hopefully he will make the jump after next season. Just in time for Rozi's exit.
