Wild 5, Rangers 4 (Traverse Tourney Game 3)

The New York Rangers prospects (1-2) lost to the Minnesota Wild prospects (3-0) by the score of 5-4 this afternoon. Go to newyorkrangers.com for more information.

Kelsey Tessier led the Rangers offense with a goal and an assist, while Alternate Captain Evgeny Grachev, Ethan Werek and Andrew Yogan each contributed goals, as well. Captain Ryan McDonagh, Brandon Manning and Sam Klassen all added assists and Dylan McIlrath recorded a plus-three rating on the afternoon. Goaltender Cam Talbot turned aside 22 shots in the contest.

The Rangers prospects have been eliminated from championship contention with the 1-2 record. They’ll play in the fifth-place game tomorrow at 2:30.

...i know the results mean absolutely zero, but I am definitely disappointed in the results so far.

...however, it's nice to see Grachev bounce back from his zero shot game with a goal.

...let's hope this is the last disappointment for Rangers fans this season.

I actually followed the in game coverage on the link you provided. Sounded like the Wild prospects shut down the top line pretty well. Stephan was a non-factor, but apparently Grachev's goal was NHL-quality. Also looked like a lot of penalties for the Rangers prospects, and a lot of posts. I'm excited to see what some of them can do in camp!
