Rory Boylen at The Hockey News has a great piece on Rangers prospect Ryan McDonagh....Gordie Clark on what is expected from McDonagh...
“He’s just a smaller version of Marc Staal,” Clark said. “We did not have him as a point-producing guy. In the NHL, this guy is going to be a shutdown defenseman with his skating ability.”
...not a bad comparison. Hopefully, McDonagh plays a little tougher than Staal.
Clark also says that during his time at the combine, McDonagh’s been the single most impressive guy ever.
...wow!!!

Remember when we used to have so many islanders fans commenting on here and badmouthing our Rangers? Haven't seen them in a while. I wonder why.... I kind of miss them a little
I've seen mcdonagh play a few game he's got alittle ways to go but u can definitely see he's got ALOT of talent
An 8 game losing streak will do that to you.
Hah!
What fluff piece, the go-to guy in Hartford, is that why he has the worst plus/minus on the team?
He had a great combine?? Too bad the game is played on the ice and not in a hotel conference room.
What a fluff statement. A plus/minus ratio makes you the worst player on the team?
